With EBM Technology, the Arcam A2 platform is the perfect solution for Additive Manufacturing in the Aerospace industry. It is developed for cost-effective production of demanding applications such as structural Aerospace components. The Arcam A2 is capable of delivering a beam power of an proximity of 3500 W while maintaining a scan speed that allows melting at multiple points at the same time. The vacuum system is maintained at a vacuum level of 1 x 10-4 mBar or even higher throughout the entire build cycle.
Arcam A2 is a robust production system that is available in 3 alternative configurations (Standard Arcam A2, Arcam A2X, Arcam A2XX), meeting the highest material standards.
The standard Arcam A2
The standard Arcam A2 is designed for manufacturing in titanium alloys. It has two interchangeable build tanks for maximum flexibility, one for tall builds and the other for wide builds.
- The tall build tank has a build envelope of 200x200x350 mm
- The wide build tank has a build envelope of Ø300×200 mm
The Arcam A2X is an alternative configuration that is more suitable for processing high temperature materials. It offers a high build envelope of 200x200x380 mm.
The Arcam A2XX is the largest EBM machine available. It is based on the same successful concept as the Arcam A2 but offers a bigger build envelope of Ø350×380 mm.
